One of the questions that I get often is what do you exactly do during your #31KoreanDays. Half of #31KoreanDays are spent outside of Seoul but still that leaves us about 2 weeks in Seoul.
Other than the usual sight-seeing, palace tour, eating and shopping, after meeting up with my parents, all of us made new glasses at Namdaemun Market 남대문 시장. Unlike in Singapore, where it usually takes 1-2 weeks before you can collect your new glasses, you could get yours within 30 minutes (unless you have some complicated requirements) in Seoul! In fact, the difference doesn’t stop there – generally the glasses are cheaper and of better quality in Seoul ^^
The four of us also got our hair cut! We went back to the same salon as the one we went to in 2012 and the reception asked if we were there before. When I responded in the positive, she seemed slightly taken back/amused and guess what! My mother was joking that we might get the same hairdresser as the guy who cut ours in 2012, and that really happened. In fact the hairdresser recognised my mother @@
Of course we went (crazy) supermart-shopping. Lots of food, daily essentials and juicy Korean strawberries.
How lovely, those were the days.
